Senais Joseph, leads the ”Street Shepherds” with      incredible persistence and great passion using his global    perspective, immense knowledge of African socio-economic  development, and extensive knowledge of cultural diversity  from his 3 year B.A in Cultural Anthropology and Tourism  and  over 10 years work with children from vulnerable  environments in Tanzania. This helps him in setting and  implementing a number of initiatives aimed at transforming SSA’s vision into reality with a firm commitment to Street Shepherds’ mission and objectives that advances the organization on both strategic and tangible levels.

Born in Tanzania and grew up in a multi cultural diversities from Dar es salaam, to Kilimanjaro,Arusha, and Iringa,  Senais Holds a B.A Hons in Cultural Anthropology and Tourism from Tumaini University with great ambition of integrating his immense knowledge of Cultural Diversity and Tourism into transforming the Tanzanian community towards social, economic and cultural advancements. He believes that for any community to develop, culture plays a very big role, and understanding ones culture is the most important step in laying a foundation for such community’s development. Culture being the totality of people’s ways of life, he strongly believes that the greatest investment of any culture is in its young population’s education both in social and economic welfare.

Backed by his own life long experience with street children, orphanages and children centers in Tanzania and South Africa, his life story remains the secret behind his great passion in helping children living in harsh environments (Orphans and street children).

Senais believes that children belong to families, and investing in children’s education and social wellbeing will secure a better future not only for these children but also for most of our developing nations. His passion for children and youths is however, hugely a result of long painful life experience both personally and from the children living in orphanages and on the streets. He remembers how they would spend hours with children and other children’s rights activists at the UNICEF offices (2001 to 2004) in Dar addressing the challenges faced by orphaned and abandoned youths and children in precarious environments  who end up in the streets of Dar es salaam, Iringa and Arusha struggling for Survival.

It is by addressing these challenges to the Tanzanian Government and Tanzanian community helped them to save, change and inspire hundreds of youths and Children in the darkest streets of Arusha (With Young Life Africa, a Youth Ministry based in Arisona U.S.A) while in High school at Ilboru Secondary School.

After a long experience with children from precarious environments and extensive research ( Durban South Africa and Arusha) trying to find a better way to help them get off streets,Senais was inspired to start an initiative (Street Shepherds Africa) in 2010 that would support children in vulnerable environments reach their treasured dreams regardless of their painful backgrounds, his own background being a testimony and inspiration to many youths and children around him. An initiative that would fund their education, support their social and economic needs and secure a better future both for the children and their community envisioning equal access to quality education, as well as ensuring that orphans and children from vulnerable environments are raised in a safe, loving and caring home, an environment that will enhance their physical, emotional, and intellectual growth.

His dream career is to pursue Master of Business Administration in Corporate Management (with minor in Fund raising and Grant making for SSA’s Projects).Apart from being a member of Arusha Community Church’s Evangelism and Outreach Committee where he enjoys the grate times he spends ushering and with the Sunday school children teaching them about God and his immense love for children, Senais is a big fan of Basketball, cycling, biking, and watching story movies and Novels, stared by young talents (children).
