Farming God’s way, Empowering hunger free Africa
With over 750 million subsistence farmers living undernourished and degraded lives where their crops yields can hardly provide for their families requirements, Africa is ranks on top of world’s most poverty stricken out of all continents. Regardless of billions of dollars streaming into Africa every year, the poor are getting poorer and the rate of poverty and poor people increases everyday
Millions of Children are forced to drop out of school, as the farm yield decrease everyday among Africa’s great population dependent on agriculture leading to lack of fees and meals at school as well as at home. Orphanages and children care centres overcrowd as more children are abandoned on the streets as poverty increases with other life hardships leading to failure in managing many of these centres as the number of children overlaps the centres ability to care for them.
Malaika farms envisions equipping the poor and breaking the Yorke of poverty by reviving God’s way of farming that once made Africa an Eden of all kinds of food with immense wealth. We believe that returning to God’s Way of farming is the only way out of Africa’s poverty and part of God’s solution for Africa, that will turn Africa from being the “begging bowl” to a “breadbasket of the world“.
Malaika Farms’ revival of God’s way of farming also known as natural or organic farming aims at teaching our generations on ancient God’s agricultural technology that will pave a way to amazing solutions on food security and poverty crisis by equipping and empowering the poor to help themselves.
Malaika Farms’ God’s way of farming is not just a technology, but a well-balanced biblical, management and technological solution for the agricultural domain, to come out of poverty with what God has put in their hands, that reveals the fullness of His promised abundant life.
Management
Malaika Farms aims at teaching the poor to make a sustainable profit out of farming and come out of poverty through three simple management keys:- Farming in time, At high standards, and With minimal wastage, Technology
Technically, the laws that God put in place since creation are the most productive ecosystems in the world with little or no soil disturbance, no destruction or incorporation of surface organic residues and a significant biodiversity of species. In keeping with this we model our agricultural practices above through:-
Zero ploughing, 100% mulch covers (referred to as God’s Blanket), and Practicing crop rotations.
Once complete Malaika Farms will establish small organic gardens in orphanages supported by Street Shepherds Africa to help them learn how to grow their own natural organic vegetables for a balanced and healthy meals.
Malaika Farms will also establish Demo plots among most poverty stricken communities to help them learn God’s ancient agricultural technology for sustainable food security that will help them come out of poverty and give praise to our living God.
